Celebrate World Puppetry Day and make puppets with Alley Art Festival! Artist Brittany Tripp will guide participants of all ages in creating their own puppet.

All community members are invited to explore puppetry as Alley Art Festival celebrates their 15th anniversary by appreciating a variety of art forms.

No experience is necessary, and seating and supplies will be available while supplies last. We'll be making shadow and hand puppets using paper, glue, markers, and more!

More about the artist:

Brittany Tripp is a teaching artist in the Chicagoland area and is passionate about building community. Her personal work ranges across all mediums and leads people of all ages to explore their own creativity.

Tripp painted the utility box mural at Galena and Broadway that features raspberry bushes. She also was part of Aurora's grassroots Vacant Window Project, and Aurora Mural Project (AMP).

I’m excited to offer this one day puppet making workshop in Aurora and look forward to seeing what we will create together!”
